The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Headquarters comprises of seven staff branches which formulate policies. The current seven staff branches are namely Policy and Plans, Training and Operations, Aircraft Engineering, Logistics and Communications, Administration, Standards and Evaluations and Air Secretary.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has commenced the 2022 enlistment process of suitable qualified graduates and post-graduates as Direct Short Service (DSSC) cadets in various professions.

Nigeria Air Force Recruitment portal consists of vacant positions for Nigerians with a minimum of HND/BSc. Nigerians are advised to submit their applications appropriately before the deadline.

Job Description:

NAF Recruitment exercise is usually conducted yearly. The Nigerian Airforce has announced that candidates who will pass the military training phase will be promoted to the rank of a flying officer. About the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC):
The Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) is a type of commission in the NAF which is open to both civilians and serving military personnel. The Course provides the avenue for the enlistment of degree holders who are professionals in specified fields. Training period for this type of commission is usually 6 months of intensive military training and successful candidates are commissioned into the rank of Flying Officer.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Applicants interested in Nigerian Air Force Recruitment 2022/2023 (NAF) ​must possess a minimum qualification of Second Class Upper Division or Upper Credit from recognized Universities, Polytechnics and other tertiary institutions. Candidates should also note that the NYSC discharge certificate is compulsory.

Interested applicants must also be Nigerian citizens, single and must be between the ages of 20 and 30 years.

About the Airmen/Airwomen Recruitment 2022:

The Basic Military Training Course is a Short Period Training for recruits to become Airmen and Airwomen, not normally more than 6 months of training. It is mainly for those who possess Secondary School Certificate, National Diploma certificate, NABTEB, RN/RM/NCE or City & Guild Certificate and Trade Test Certificate. The BMTC is comprised of Non-Tradesmen/Women with age limit between 18 and 22, and Tradesmen/Women with age limit between 18 and 25.
